Specimen Requirements

Draw blood in a plain, red-top tube(s) or a serum gel tube(s). Spin down and send 3 mL of serum refrigerated.  Specimens are stable refrigerated at 2^o to 8^o C for 2 days.  If testing will not be performed in two days, freeze serum in plastic vial

Unspun specimens must be transported at ambient temperature and arrive to the laboratory within one hour of draw.
