Specimen Requirements

Send one of the following specimens.

10 mL from a well-mixed, 24-hour urine collection. No preservative. Refrigerate specimen during collection, and send specimen refrigerated.

Entire 24 hour urine collection.  No preservative.  Refrigerate specimen during collection and send specimen refrigerated.
 

Note:  1. 24-Hour volume is required on request form for processing.

             2. Starting and ending times of collection are required on request form for processing.
             3. Follow instructions in “Urine Collection” in “Special Instructions.”
