Hemoglobin S Solubility

Specimen Requirements

Draw specimen in a lavender top (EDTA) tube and send 1mL whole blood to the laboratory refrigerated. 

 

1.Specimens cannot be frozen.

2.  Include recent transfusion information with the specimen.
