Important Note

A transfusion testing process for prenatal patients recommended by The American Association of Blood Banks. This process will prevent Rh Immune Globulin injections for prenatal patients when not required based on an additional test called weak D. Patients who have a positive weak D test will be recommended for Rh Genotyping, which will indicate whether Rh Immune Globulin is required for the patient in current and subsequent pregnancies.
