Specimen Requirements

Please submit the following Specimen:

 

 Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) collected via lumbar puncture.   Specimen must be submitted to the laboratory as soon as possible after collection.  If specimen will not arrive at St. Luke's Laboratory within 24 hours, it must be refrigerated.

 

Specimens collected via shunts are not acceptable.
