Specimen Requirements
SAMPLE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum sample volume is 500μL whole blood, but volume required for testing is 100ul.
Sample must be whole blood collected in EDTA anti-coagulant tube
Sample must be neither coagulated nor hemolyzed (Do not mix vigorously!)
Sample should be tested within 24 hours of venipuncture refrigerated or room temperature.
Raised Bottom Tubes (RBT’s) are acceptable. Make sure the sample meets the minimum sample volume requirement. (500uL).

Reportable
Range: 0-130 mm/hr.
Reference Ranges:
Newborn (0 – 28 days): Male- 0-2 mm/hr. Female: 0-2 mm/hr.
Newborn – Puberty (28 days -16 years): Male- 3-13 mm/hr. Female: 3-13 mm/hr.
Women (16 years – 49 years): <20 mm/hr.
Women (50 years and older): <30 mm/hr.
Men (16 years to 49 years): <15 mm/hr.
Men (50 years and older): <20 mm/hr.
