Methodology
Metal Soluble Immunoassay
Screens for amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, Buprenorphine, cocaine, methadone, opiates,oxycodone, phencyclidine (PCP), tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and tricyclic antidepressants (TCA) including amitriptyline, chlorpromazine, chlorprothixene, clomipramine, cyclobenzaprine, desipramine, doxepin, imipramine, maprotiline, norclomipramine, nordoxepin, nortriptyline, perphenazine, phenothiazine, promazine, protriptyline, thiothixene, and trimipramine.
Note: Screening results are unconfirmed. Positive results on clinic outpatients are confirmed at a reference laboratory at an additional charge.
Specimen Requirements
60 mL from a random urine collection. No preservative.

The following drugs and/or metabolites are screened for and have
a cutoff value of:
Amphetamines: 1,000 ng/mL
Barbiturates: 200 ng/mL
Benzodiazepines: 200 ng/mL
Buprenorphine: 10ng/mL
Cocaine: 300 ng/mL
Opiates: 300 ng/mL
Oxycodone: 100 ng/mL
Phencyclidine: 25 ng/mL
Methadone: 300 ng/mL
THC: 50 ng/mL
TCA: 300 ng/mL
TCA drugs included
Amitriptyline: positive at 500 ng/mL
Chlorpromazine: negative at 100 µg/mL
Chlorprothixene: negative at 100 µg/mL
Clomipramine: negative at 100 µg/mL
Cyclobenzaprine: positive at 5 µg/mL
Desipramine: 300 ng/mL
Doxepin: positive at 5 µg/mL
Imipramine: positive at 125 ng/mL
Maprotiline: positive at 500 ng/mL
Norclomipramine: negative at 100 µg/mL
Nordoxepin: positive at 750 ng/mL
Nortriptyline: positive at 500 ng/mL
Perphenazine: negative at 100 µg/mL
Phenothiazine: negative at 100 µg/mL
Promazine: positive at 250 ng/mL
Protriptyline: negative at 100 µg/mL
Thiothixene: negative at 100 µg/mL
Trimipramine: positive at 5 µg/mL
Positive results will be confirmed at a reference laboratory.
Interfering Substances:
Some natural herbal and plant products contain substances which may cross-react and produce a false-positive drug screen.
