Specimen Requirements

1 mL of body fluid in a green-top (lithium heparin) plasma gel tube(s), a plain syringe(s), or a serum gel tube(s). Send specimen refrigerated.
Note:  1. If submitting syringe, remove needle and cap syringe.
2. Indicate specimen source on request form.

 

Unspun specimens must be transported at ambient temperature and arrive to the laboratory within one hour of draw.
